Nice one!
Ur scrots keep getting better!

I like the tech looking pixelpattern u used on windows.... I might
have to plagiate that ;-)

I don't know what it is about orange tho... maybe it makes me
think about that nasty "operating system" called ubuntu...
that I don't like... otherwise, this is top notch man!

Btw, I'm not sure what u mean about that panel being blurry tho.

Thanks again Robert!

The original silentnight theme by nale12 is simply the best what ever was made for GNOME2. This is really only one pixel. I've cloned this theme because there where some problems in Firefox and other apps with even this pixel. :)

There is no problem with Ubuntu for me. It works sometimes better than other distributions and prepares less effort.
I do not care about Mr. Shuttleworth's millions, and whether others like it what he does. I realize that Ubuntu is not Linux, and I do not understand the fuss. Everyone can use what he wants. No one is forced to use it.

I switched to dA, because I'm totally annoyed by this discussions about Ubuntu, Windows and MacOS. I do not want to begin again.

But I hope it does not look like Ubuntu because it is Orange. I like Orange and with Black it is a pretty great combination. My desktop have the same look at Debian, Ubuntu and other good old GNOME2 distribution versions. ;)

Okey, no ubuntu discussion then, I'll just what
the fuss is about. It's about canonical taking
more then it is giving back to the community.
In one sentence, I personally think anyone
even remotely affiliated with canonical should
serve somekinda punishment for destroying such
a nice community as the linux community.

I can understand why this discussion annoys
u if u don't understand why it's occuring
in the first place :)

Yeah that theme is really nice indeed, once
the system is optimated to not have any hardcoded
colors at all and it works with every program to
have a 100% dark bg with light fg theme I'll
prolly use only that.

So far, there are programs that don't follow the
colors or follow only one of the rules... so
u get like black text on black background... that
kinda sucks. Webbrowsers are know for this.

So, if u use a very dark theme in a dark room
it's nice for the eyes, and then u feel like opening
a webbrowser and a huge white window opens and
ur eyes hurt really bad when they are not used
to the light.

I heard this arguments so often.
And believe me, I understand. And all I see is, that the community is destroying itself.
Who cares what Canonical takes and is giving back to the community? The only thing what I use is
this f**ing operating system and this is what they giving back. And if I don't like it I can use an other.

I started with Suse Linux, then I used for two years only Ubuntu. Over the last few years
I've tried maybe 50 different distributions. Today I use Debian and Ubuntu on desktops.
Opensuse on my server (which has never changed). IPCop on my router. Currently I have
installed Arch, Toorox and Foresight on my testing machines and sometimes I'm working with it.
And no, such distributions are not much faster or better. They are only much more complicated.
But good to learn how Linux works.
I see in Ubuntu, what it is. A good Linux distribution. Nothing more and nothing less.
And if I'm a idiot in the eyes of others because of using Ubuntu, I do not even care.
I am grateful to Canonical that it has relieved me of the second entry. Because I really wanted
switch back to Windows after Opensuse was inoperable for a while. It was the easiest and most
user-friendly distribution in this time for me. That I'll never forget. Maybe I switch to Debian
soon completely, because I dislike Unity in this form. And should I switch to KDE, it will
certainly not be Kubuntu.
Please, no more discussions about Ubuntu/Canonical! For that there are perceived 100 Groups
at opendesktop.org.
I have other hobbies. Thanks my friend! :)

For me, I fixed all problems with other programs that don't follow colors. No problems in
Firefox (using stylish addon). LibreOffice I start with an other color scheme of this theme.
This could I do also with other problematic apps. :)

For using my themes in really darkness there is a subtle lighting from a little lamp behind the monitor.
That works great. ;)

Yeah I understand how ppl quickly get sick of this
discussion :) believe me, however, usually when a
discussion like this goes on and on and on, there
is some truth to it. some quick thoughts on ur
post:

-No, using ubuntu does certainly not make u any
kind of idiot. And if u really don't care about
the linux community, I certainly understand why
u don't care :)

-No, ubuntu is not a good distribution, it is
barely a distribution. It just is a distribution
aimed for making money.

-I respect u for speaking out of experience rather
then out of ur ass (seen too much lately).

I agree, this is not the place for this kind of
discussion so I will not continue this, I just
wanted to reply on ur thoughts :)

I c u have solved the dark theme problem :D
That's cool, however, there are still some
sites on the web that are really hardcoded
for black on white and I'm not really sure
how stylish or any other css based stylesheet
fixes that...

...anyways, I got to go eat now, my wife is
getting kinda stressed :D

That you have misunderstood, I am very interested in the Linux community. Therefore I also said that these self-destructs. I'm not interested what Canonical is doing and what they take and gives back. That's a different. The community is more alive than ever before. But there are people who are filled with hatred, which cause the damage. And people who think they are something better, because they do not use Ubuntu. Moreover, I find it legitimate that Ubuntu wants to earn money with Ubuntu. RedHat and Novell do it also. The operating system is free and if someone want to use the paid services so let him do it. That's not my problem. It takes about 2 minutes to remove the Ubuntu One shit, if I don't like it. ;)

Now we know what we think about Ubuntu and Canonical. Let's talk about other interesting things in the future. :)

The stylish addon what I use is LavaFox-dark textboxes style, it works good. [link] or for gray textboxes: [link]

Hehe, yeah sure, I'm just gonna say one more thing:
the way it looks now is every other linux distro
is gonna die and we'll only have ubuntu in the future
and nothing else if this continues :|
=Then I'll have to use windows cause I rather use that :(

Hmmm, yeah I guess that works good for firefox indeed,
or at least *should* most the cases :)

However, that is more like a workaround then a
a solution, the solution to this would be for websites
to support the system colors... I guess that'll never
happen.

Anyways, I can pretty much agree with u that atm that
is the best way around the problem on dark themes :)

Sighs... I haven't written one loc in like forever now,
(well since my last scrot), and I haven't even finished
my bottom panel style yet... :-| All this talk of ubuntu
pretty much drained the life outta me :D
