Wow! Just brilliant! Love you style man. Spotted it easily as your work on the DA page. Btw, is the panel background and nautilus background included in the theme? and what icons have you used (both the normal icons and the menu & shutdown icons on the panel)? They go perfectly well with the rest of the desktop.
Thanks man! The panel background for AWN and Nautilus background is not included. The icon theme is my BlackWhite III only with changed folder icons from here: [link] but recolored by me and changed menu and shutdown icons from Awoken theme. I have not included the background for AWN cause panel bg works only with 1920px widescreen. The Nautilus background you can download here [link] and recolor it yourself.
IMO a technical style is very elegant no I'm not saying my scrots are elegant but there are some super elegant tech themes, like the darkmatter theme for example
Is just that when u do graphics in GIMP they are very much so hardcoded. when I write the graphics using QPainter then I can have the colors (or shapes, or size, or whatever) dynamic, according to what I wish to have, then I use the bespin infrastructure to choose the painting color (highlight, windowtext, window... button whatever). Using "Pixmaps" to paint is just so very gnome 2
Don't get me wrong... that was very fun back in 2006 /2007
Now I understand that making a theme with pixmaps requires minimal coding skills and gets maximum results iffffff u know gimp so I understand that would be ur weapon of choice if u dislike coding
